WENDY ROSSELLI

My interest is in the simplification of form and the canvas surface. I make little use of line but rather focus on the modeling of form. In this way I manage to capture the essence of my subject. My palette is now much softer and I regularly play with natural elements. Originally from Zimbabwe, I now live and paint in Kommetjie, a small seaside village in Cape Town, where the influence of the surrounding environment is discernible in my work, both in subject matter and in use of light, colour and space.
